Hilton Chicago

A Chicago institution, Hilton Chicago offers beautiful guestrooms and some of the most stunning suites in the city. Groups of any size from a small and intimate meeting to large conventions in the exhibit hall can be accommodated. As with the Palmer House, my role was to highlight the history of the property while also showcasing the new and modern image of the hotel. In early 2009 I completely rebranded the hotel's colors and logo. The hotel was going be remodeled but the color scheme was not yet final. I concentrated on the permanent and timeless architectural features of the building - rich dark browns and marble-like grays and married it to the softer brighter blues and greens of Grant Park and Lake Michigan that both can be viewed from the hotel. In 2011, we rebranded again using new guidelines from Hilton Worldwide. Both looks are shown here. I have successfully given this property its own unique look, making it unique among other Hilton hotels around the world, while still utilizing the brand guidelines. The leadership of the hotel has always given me full creative freedom and in return, I have produced strong work that represents both the uniqueness of the hotel while maintaining the integrity of Hilton. "Classic Meets Cool" campaign was launched in 2012 and is still relevant today. This tagline worked well with everything I produced for the hotel, whether its vintage postcards or slick online brochures that show off the hotel's stunning new remodeled suites.
